International Teacher Leadership is a collaboration of networks from around the world focused on supporting anyone in education to exercise leadership.

Over the past decade through our respective networks: HertsCam, CairoCam, TLK and the TLM programme, we have discovered a startling truth:  that regardless of borders, political context or language, teachers share similar professional concerns.  They share the same moral purpose – a commitment to improving the life chances of the young people in their organisations.  They also share a thirst for knowledge building and critically engaging with practical strategies for developing non-positional leadership and school improvement.

The inaugural virtual conference in April hosted by Amina Eltemamy  and the CairoCam Network, demonstrated that international collaboration is easier than ever. Whereas before, we struggled to enable members of our individual networks to collaborate, we now realise that by embracing these remote technologies, we can network internationally and build a more inclusive community.

Through International Teacher Leadership, we aim to provide ongoing opportunities for international networking through virtual Network Events and Conferences, and through platforms for facilitators and participants of our programmes to interact and share knowledge wherever they are in the world.
